There is nothing more frustrating than dedicating hours of work in the gym and on your diet only for stubborn fat to refuse to respond. This can happen to anybody, which is why liposuction is one of Longwood Plastic Surgery’s most sought after procedures. Many people, however, hesitate thinking the cost is prohibitive. For many patients, it’s far more attainable than you may have thought.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?

At LPS, we believe cosmetic rejuvenation is an investment in yourself and your mental health, which is why we work hard to keep our pricing as competitive as possible as well as offer a variety of financing tools to match nearly any budget. Your treatment area size will somewhat determine the price you pay, but the average cost of liposuction in 2019, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, is $3,548.

Part of the Longwood Plastic Surgery promise to our patients is a comfortable cosmetic enhancement journey from start to finish, and that includes easing your worries about costs, complications, and risks. This is why our consultations are so comprehensive. We want you to be excited about your transformation, not apprehensive. With your new, slimmer figure, clothes will fit better and be more flattering, your reflection will please you, and most of all, your confidence will soar. Not even we can put a price on that.

How Does Liposuction Work?

Advances in liposuction over the years have elevated the procedure beyond simply using vacuum suction to remove stubborn fat. The idea is the same, but refined techniques give LPS surgeons far more control over customizing the procedure.

Tumescent liposuction allows for smaller incisions that scar less, reduces bleeding during the procedure, and provides less tissue trauma and a faster recovery time. SAFE (Separation, Aspiration of Fat, Equalization) or Ultrasound assisted liposuction can separate or liquefy the fat cells being removed, respectively, making them easier to suction away and providing for a sculpted, toned result. At LPS, liposuction is performed in our accredited outpatient surgery suite, so you’re back home and recovering the same day. Liposuction can safely be performed almost anywhere on the body, including abdomen, flanks, hips, buttocks, knees, upper arms, back, neck, and chin.

Am I a Good Candidate?

The best results happen for patients close to their ideal weight with fairly elastic skin, who can’t seem to exercise or diet their stubborn fat away. Liposuction is not for significant weight loss, but those who desire a more sculpted, toned physique will find their goals are achievable. A Longwood Plastic Surgery consultation can answer any questions you may have.

Procedure, Recovery, and Results

During your procedure, you’ll be given either twilight anesthesia (IV sedation) or general anesthesia, whichever method is deemed best for your specific liposuction technique. When you awaken in our comfortable recovery area under close monitoring, you’ll likely be wearing a compression bandage to help preserve the sculpting your LPS surgeon has carefully achieved. This garment is recommended for at least 2-3 weeks following your treatment to aid in blood circulation, reduce swelling, and help your recovery remain smooth and complication free. Walking soon after your procedure can help prevent blood clots. The first 2-3 days are the most uncomfortable, but you’ll begin to feel like yourself in about 1 week. Most patients return to work around the 1 week mark.

Your results may be somewhat visible at first, depending on the volume of fat you’ve had removed. As swelling and bruising subsides, your new, slimmer shape will emerge, becoming more obvious around 3 weeks post-op. After 4-6 weeks, your results peak and you’ll have the sleek, toned shape you’ve long hoped for.

Dr. Reformat the great artist. I’m speechless with the amazing work he did on my boobs”reduction/lift” and all the liposuction sculptured with perfection. I’m so happy and I can’t wait to enjoy it this summer. Thank you so much for all your effort and hard work for being so supportive before, during and after the procedure. God bless you My daughter is next in line.” *
