Many people are seeking facial rejuvenation but are not ready for a facelift. A liquid facelift uses dermal fillers and other treatments for a fuller, more youthful appearance. This procedure addresses volume loss, fine lines and wrinkles, and mild skin laxity without surgery.
What is a Liquid Facelift?
A liquid facelift is a non-surgical method for addressing signs of aging. This procedure uses a series of injections to address volume loss, smooth lines and wrinkles, and restore definition to your facial features. A liquid facelift harnesses the abilities of injectable treatments like dermal fillers to provide a more lifted appearance without incisions or recovery time.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Liquid Facelift?
A liquid facelift can safely provide facial rejuvenation for most people. You may be a good candidate if:
- You want to address mild to moderate signs of aging
- You have reasonable expectations
- You are in overall good health
- You have never had a reaction to any of the components
- You do not have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area
- You want to target several areas of concern at the same time
Good candidates for a liquid facelift understand that this procedure will not achieve the same results as a surgical facelift. However, a liquid facelift does not require the scars or recovery time of a surgical procedure. Only a consultation can determine whether a liquid facelift will achieve your desired results.
Which Dermal Fillers Are Used in a Liquid Facelift?
Your Longwood Plastic Surgery expert injector will choose dermal fillers and other treatments to use during your liquid facelift. The procedure may include:
Juvederm®
Juvederm® is a family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. Hyaluronic acid is found in your skin, attracting and holding onto hydration. Members of the Juvederm® family can address concerns including thin lips, volume loss, fine lines and wrinkles, and loss of facial definition.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a dermal filler that uses poly-L-lactic acid. It triggers collagen production, adding firmness and volume to the skin. Sculptra® is often used to treat deep lines and wrinkles, including marionette lines and nasolabial folds, but it has many other uses.
Botox®
Botox® is a neuromodulator that treats expression lines and wrinkles. It can treat crow’s feet, forehead lines, and vertical lines between the brows. It provides a smoother, more relaxed appearance in targeted areas.
How Long Does a Liquid Facelift Last?
How long your liquid facelift lasts depends on several factors. Different components of the procedure have different lifespans. Botox® typically lasts three to four months, while Juvederm® dermal fillers last one to two years. Sculptra® can last two years or more. You can schedule visits to have your liquid facelift touched up as needed.
