Are you looking for a non-surgical way to get your ideal physique? CoolSculpting® is a surgery-free procedure that can be used on your stomach, thighs, upper arms, and essentially anywhere unwanted fat exist. This FDA-approved device cools targeted subcutaneous fat cells, freezing them before helping your body shed them naturally over time.
The cost-effective body contouring solution, CoolSculpting®, is not a weight-loss method. The board-certified physicians at Longwood Plastic Surgery can help determine if this treatment is right for you, as well as provide a more accurate quote based on your individual needs.
What Determines the Cost Per Session?
In 2017, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons estimated the average fee per treatment for CoolSculpting® was $1,481. This does not reflect multiple areas being treated or follow-up visits. Most patients can expect an average cost between $2,000 and $4,000 per session.
Other factors contributing to the total cost are the geographic location of the office, the skill of the provider, and whether you require follow-up treatments.
How Does Cost Vary for Different Areas of My Body?
CoolSculpting® can treat multiple areas of the body, depending on your individual needs. The cost of your session will be directly related to the size of each area being treated and the number of areas you want to address.
Arms and Stomach
Smaller areas of the upper arms may cost around $650 per arm per treatment. Desired results are typically achieved after two sessions. Eight treatments are typically recommended for the abdomen, with a total estimated cost for treating the stomach area coming to $4,500. The results are long-lasting.
The total cost of treating thighs can vary for inner and outer areas. Treating both the inner and outer areas of each thigh can cost $4,000 or more. Long-lasting results can usually be achieved after two sessions.
How Many Treatments Do I Need?
CoolSculpting® treatments help most patients achieve their desired results in two office visits. Follow-up treatments may be added after a few months for increased results.
Will I Need Future Treatments?
Your results will continue to improve over 1-3 months as your body sheds the targeted fat cells. Generally, full results are expected after six months. Once fat cells have been frozen and removed from your body, they won’t return.
You’ll need further treatments if you gain weight in the future, as new fat cells can grow in a previously treated area. Additionally, if you want to experience more than 25% fat loss in a specific area, multiple sessions are recommended. The team at Longwood Plastic Surgery will help you determine how many treatments you need to achieve your desired results.

I was recommended to Dr. Morris through my doctor at BID-Needham. Due to prior surgeries, I had some issues and Dr. Morris is the best. He has done a fantastic job with my abdomen core and I feel and look fantastic.
